Overview

Monroe Engineering (Monroe PMP) is a global industrial manufacturing and distribution company offering a broad product line. Founded in the 1950s, Monroe Engineering has a rich history dating back to the 1920s and Otto Siewek’s role in developing “tooling components”, which helped standardized mass production of automobiles. Monroe is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has a diverse customer base of manufacturers, distributors and catalog-houses across several vertical markets including aerospace/defense, automotive, medical, transportation, and general industry.

Our Monroe team lives by a simple question, "How can we help?" Monroe has grown with so many customers because we were never afraid to help a customer attack an issue to get it solved correctly, quickly, and in an efficient manner. We continually expand our standard product offering based on the needs of our customers and have expanded our contract manufacturing capabilities to offer more custom solutions than ever before. Product Lines

Standard Products: Monroe currently manufactures and distributes over 25,000 SKU’s across over 20 product lines.  We inventory over 10,000 SKU’s in an effort to have our best sellers on hand when our customers call. Monroe has the flexibility to modify our existing parts or manufacturer a “special” to insure our customer is able to optimize their design solution.

In an effort to continually serve our customers we are always looking to add synergistic products to our existing lines.  If you have a suggestion for a product you think would be a good fit for Monroe please email our General Manager at dscharrer@monroepmp.com.

RoHS Compliance: Most products in Monroe’s product line are RoHS compliant.  Please make this requirement known to your sales person and we will insure you select a RoHS compliant product and will be happy to provide the appropriate documentation. Examples: RoHS Adjustable Handles, RoHS Hinges, RoHS Knobs, RoHS Handwheels, RoHS Crank Handles

Mil Spec Products: Monroe products have been designed into Government Product Assemblies for over 50 years.   We carry a wide variety of Mil Spec Compliant products and are capable of manufacturing to virtually any Mil Spec within our area of expertise.  Examples: Mil Spec Hinges, Mil Spec Fasteners, Mil Spec Knobs, Mil Spec Bolts and much more.

Manufacturing Services: In recent years Monroe has seen tremendous growth because of our ability and willingness to do more for our customers.  Our standard products require Monroe to have certain manufacturing capabilities including CNC Machining, Metal Stamping, Plastic Injection Molding, Zinc and Stainless Casting, Paint & Finishing, Welding, and Product Assembly. CAD Availability: Monroe is in the process of converting all of our CAD data to provide our customers with better models, drawings, and bill of material information.  In the mean time you will find most of our products have generic cad available for download.  Should you require assistance with CAD please email sales@monroepmp.com or call one of our sales engineers.

Quality System

Monroe is registered to ISO 9001:2008 and AS 9100:2009 to better serve our aerospace customers. We often work with our customers on APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA and other customer quality requirements.  We are well versed in making both our product and our paperwork compliant to our customer’s requirements.  Please make quality system inquiries to our Quality Manager- John Meier at jmeier@monroepmp.com.

Facilities

We are headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where the Company has a 25,000 square foot office and distribution warehouse. We also have a 15,000 square foot light-manufacturing and assembly facility located nearby in Pontiac, Michigan where we are Certified to weld a variety of metals for defense and general industry.
