PowRLock - Hollow and Solid Pistons - Single Acting
A PowRlock head is small enough to hold in your hand, yet powerful enough to punch a 1/2" hole in 5/16" thick mild steel plate. Its inherent characteristics permit you to build a specialized clamping system on your machine - any machine, using existing fixtures. PowRlock is much more than a simple hydraulic cylinder. It's a concept of high holding forces engineered to be applied easily to all kinds of manufacturing processes and to give high performance and dependability. Clamping and punching pressures are available to 27,500 pounds force.
Two Types of PowRLock Heads
Hollow Piston
PowRlock hollow piston heads are the easiest and most versatile of all heads to mount. They accommodate and are mounted over any length bolt, stud, or rod which passes through the hollow piston for easiest installation. They can be installed to act in either a push or a pull motion. The exclusive patented PowRlock hollow piston head asserts forces up to 24,000 pounds.
Solid Piston
Solid piston PowRlock heads are compact and have high force capabilities. Tapped holes and threaded O.D.'s accommodate a wide variety of mountings. Available in various models, solid piston PowRlock heads apply up to 27,500 pounds of force. Solid piston PowRlock heads are ideal for operations requiring punching, clamping, locating and ejection.
