We are equipped to produce special and fabricated hinges and perform such operations as hole punching, forming, offsetting, notching, countersinking, etc. When inquiring about a special hinge, please send blueprints or a sample. If you need rapid turn-a-round ask about our Fast Trac Tooling, the proprietary process we use to rapidly develop tooling and prototype projects.

Butt Hinges

Butt Hinges

A hinge where the pin is inserted into a round barrel. Commonly used on swinging doors. A hinge composed of two plates attached to abutting surfaces of a door and jamb then joined by a pin.

Uses: Door frames, Folding walls, Load bearing points

Piano Hinges And Continuous Hinges

Piano Hinge

A long narrow hinge with a pin running the entire length of its joint. Used for joining two edges that require support all along their lengths. Continuous Hinges, which run the entire length of the door (a.k.a. as "Piano Hinges")

Living Hinges

Living hinges are thin sections of plastic that connect two segments of a part to keep them together and allow the part to be opened and closed. Commonly found in containers that are used in high volume .The materials used to make a living hinge are usually a very flexible plastic. It's generally a thin section of the material that bends to allow flexibility.

Uses: Flexibility, Ease of manufacturing and assembly, Reduced part count

Offset Hinges

These special hinges are designed to swing a door clear of an opening. Offset Hinges will actually swing a door clear of a door frame.

Uses: Expandable, Easy to install, Stability
